Is hair transplantation the right answer for you?

It is no secret that hair transplantation can be expensive. A small procedure that involves transplantation of 1000-1500 grafts can cost anywhere between US$ 3000 and up to US$ 5000, depending on the chosen surgeon and/or hair transplantation clinic.

One thing is sure: if you choose hair transplant to solve your baldness problem, you chose  well. It is a life-time solution. Why is hair transplant a permanent solution for baldness?
Simply because the transplanted hairs are collected from an area that contains DHT non-sensitive follicles which do not respond to the existing chemical signals sent by dihydrotestosterone (DHT).
As such, the transplants will last for life. From this point of view you fixed the baldness problem permanently.

If you are not happy with the current state of  "hair" affairs you should consider either shaving your head or hair transplant.
While it is very true that some men can look really cool and sexy with a bald head, the same can not be said about other bald men.
Esthetically speaking, a head half full of hair is not appealing at all. It shows prominently that you are getting balder and balder and for most people this can be interpreted as a signal of aging. Either way, regardless of the solution against baldness you chose, is it best to choose the one that makes you feel good. The best solution against balding is the one you are content with.

If you choose hair transplant as a permanent fix for balding think of the following aspects as well:
- naturally, if in your case, the baldness is in an incipient to medium state, such as Norwood I, II, III or IV,  hair transplant can provide very good results due to the fact that you can obtain a good coverage of the recipient area (bald area).
- in very advanced baldness state such as Norwood V and VI, more complicated procedures such as the use of a skin extender or even hair cloning can be used. Needless to say, such cosmetic adventures may require budgets of more than US$15.000.

How should you treat baldness and what is your approach?

If you are not yet getting bald but you do have bald men in your family, you should consider the possibility that you as well might get bald at some point in time. When exactly will it happen is a big unknown but some factors do play an important role in the evolution of baldness.
For detailed information about androgenetic hair loss (baldness) you can visit this specialized website.
In incipient cases of baldness such as Norwood I anti hair loss products that block DHT and the 5 alpha reductase enzyme can help you delay and reduce the effects of early balding.
The delay can reach up to several years, even up to 10 years, provided that you do use the anti hair loss products consistently.

It is important to understand the main differences between normal hair loss and baldness, or androgenetic hair loss. Read here what is the difference between androgenetic hair loss and regular excessive hair loss.
Also, do not confuse the notion of hair growth products versus anti hair loss products.
